Delusional Chicken

I discovered a few weeks ago that I do a charming – most accurate, if I do say so- impersonation of a chicken. My kids shriek in anticipation as the tension builds, and then they double over in giggles with the climactic “bawk-bawk…bawk… BaGAAAAAWWWWK!”

I have since discovered that I can convey chicken emotions too. Last night, my emotional chicken made her debut.

Our family sat in chairs around a pool on the island, and I bawk-bawked myself and my wings and my chicken emotions all over that pool deck. They called out emotions, and I depicted them.

Sad!
Excited!
Hungry!
Broken hearted!
Scared!
Jealous!
Delusional!

And I made them laugh until they were holding their sides and wetting their pants.

That was the best part. I can make them laugh.

(She’s still got it, folks.)
