A Lady and Gents

The boys each brought a friend home from school today.

Tyler invited a little girl, and he honored her as the only lady in their midst.  Which means he carried her backpack for her and ordered the other boys to stop talking about Mr. Poopy Farty Diaper Head.  “Hey.  There’s a lady here, you guys.”

I served pizza and grapes and KoolAid for dinner.  Tucker’s buddy asked me if it was alcohol.

The boys hosted their first red plate meal, and we shared our questions around the table.  These included, “What is your favorite color?  What is your favorite dessert?  What’s your favorite weapon?”  But Tyler nixed that one, since it isn’t appropriate to talk about violence and weapons unless a girl wants to.

And thus begins the passing of the hospitality baton.  Well done, little mosquitos.
